Lathe solid model to G code

Hi group,
Can anyone suggest a cheap program for creating G code for TURNING
from a solid model such as an IGES file ? I've been trying to import
DXFs into Mach 3 but it takes forever to draw all the cuts. I'm after
a program that allows you to input the material size, roughing &
finishing cut depths, feed / rev, and then generate all the cuts down
to the solid model. There are some out there but they all seem very
expensive. I can use Solidworks or Solid Edge at work to create the
models.
