HI Bill, John,
Funny, I never found that a problem. It "looks" like a lathe setup to me on
the screen. I just "transpose" the axis names in my head I guess.
All the options as to which side of the Z axis to draw and cut on, and just
how to convey to the program how big my initial stock was took me a while to
figure out. It's much less intuitive then the mill. I recommend starting
CNC on the mill.
I'm still wondering if there is a better way to approach the "shadowed" side
of contours, i.e. on the right side of a ring, for example.
