John,

Thank you for the kudo's...

That source isn't necessarily cheap; but it's commercial quality CNC
proofing material.

We can't get that brown foil faced foam anymore at our local big box
stores. But there are 2, 1-1/2" thick sheets above me where I'm
typing<G> Was gonna insulate a roll-up garage door, but never got a
round tuit...

The pink and blue stuff is not carried locally any longer either.
Except at REAL contractor supply places. All we have now from th
ebig boxes is plain white styro with a blue plastic film on one
side. We use it in 1" thickness for packing/shipping the phenolic bb
ply Wood ducks.

The blue stuff is pretty close to what experimental aircraft
builders call "clark foam", and it and the pink stuff work pretty
well for CNc proofing and even some kinds of parts.

BUT! set up a GOOD vacuum or you'll go crazy as that stuff gets
EVERYwhere...

BTW, the foil faced brown stuff is polyisocyanate AIRC. Be careful
breathig its dust. Stuff above me is labelled Johns Manville AP foil
faced foam sheathing.

Hope this helps,

Ballendo

P.S. Get the pink and blue from Aircraft supply places like Wicks
and/or Aircraft spruce and supply.

West Marine may have it as well.
