The machine would be for smaller stock sizes probably 10mm and less in
the realm of the ER16 collet type but I would be a bit loathed to use
expensive collets when the bar really just needs gripping and spinning
and the concentricity is not totally important. So I'm thinking some
form of 2 or 3 jaw chuck of something based on super simple homemade
collets, they will be gripping fresh bar stock so could be made a very
close fit and nipped up in some magical way.
