Both Ah-Ha! and Microkinetics have sold rackmount CNC setups for many
years. Their customers can tell you more, as I'm not sure what you're
really asking?

The "arrangement" is simply an enclosure method? What Am I missing here?

P.S. I think using rackmount setups can result in far larger footprint
than necessary these days. But it IS a "standard" (which could matter
if other parts of the sytstem are similarly rack-mounted) and it IS
easily goten to for repairs/mods etc. I surely wouldn't use it for
a "typical" homeshop CNC machine setup!
