Ron, Group,
I just did a yahoo search on "climb milling metal". This link was one
of, if not the first:

Scroll about halfways down the page--to the pic of climb vs.
conventional milling...
Notice what it says ABOVE the picture?
This is from a university course, and is obviously for beginners
(like this CCED group).
FWIW, There are literally thousands of other places this WELL-known
advice is given as part of "basic" mill/metalworking instruction. And
it has been given for decades. (WAAaaay before 1971...)
