Modbus control Omron VFD

I've got a little Omron sysdrive 3G3EV and the RS485 card in place of the
front panel. The manual only talks about hooking up the comms. Can anyone
point me at some documentation or PC software that'll shed some light on
talking to this drive (I have a 232<->485 converter)?
