Just because there is already existing products on the market that
can do the same thing should not be the reason for NOT doing
something.

There are plenty of existing CNC machines available, yet many of you
desire to build your own. There are plenty of existing spindles on
the market, yet, some build their own. There are a handful of CNC
control programs available, yet some of us wish to create our own.

For many of us, creating something or re-creating something is THE
purpose of the action, the resulting creation is a side benefit.

I have the MACH software, I love it and use it. However, I also
like to explore deeper into the concepts of motion control and
electronics. So, I too am writing a CNC controller for Windows.
Some of us just get our kicks out of learning how to do things. I
have no desire to sell it or turn it into "Work". I guess it is a
self challenge or something.
