Actually, it is more like "user space" and "machine space"

When staring at a computer screen, scratching your head and designing a
part, you do not need to know where X0 Y0 Z0 are. All you are concerned with
is making the part look like you want it to.

When you translate your part into "machine space", you map your part into
the Cartesian Coordinate space of that specific machine.

The tool-tip space is not a separate entity. It is a component of User
Space; put there to make things easier for the user and it allows the user
to check for possible tool-path problems.
