Hi Terry,
You could try Rhino - its VERY easy to use if you've
used autocad before, and can even be configured to
work similar to autocad. It also opens just about
every file format known to man. I dont know how long
the trial version lasts but you may be able to achieve
what you want given the short learning curve.
