Hi Mariss,
I trained as an architectural draghtsman back before computers and never quite made the move from board to screen. My first version of Acad was 10 and I found it so easy to use in 2D and later versions in 3D solids that I never learnt to do it properly and I never wanted, until now, to do a compound curved surface. I bought the 2002 version (student) I am now using when I was doing a night class in CAD that I never finished. Anyway I'm stuck with it until finances pick up.
So far I've only found 1 book on Rhino 3 "Inside Rhinoceros 3 (Paperback)" by Ron Cheng priced at £36/$68, can anyone recommend it as good reading?
Regards,
Terry
Acad is a cumbersome tool for organic, free-form 3D surfaces or
shapes. It is best suited for right-angles and some mathematically
simple, fixed geometry 3D solids.
Try Rhino instead. You'll like it much better.
This comes from a registered ACAD 2005 user since ACAD release 9. It
fit on 3 (?) floppy disks way back then.:-)
