Hello,
As Bob asked; What are yo wanting the 12VDC motor to do? Is it your
spindle motor?
FWIW, Yes, you can "just connect a mosfet (h-bridge) to your
pport..."
You might want to consider the pport in relation to failure modes
though! (Is it an MB pport? Or an add-in card? Is th ecomnputer
expensive? or a dustbin cheapie?)
