Scott,

What if you were told that, "NO, it wouldn't be noticeable. But
you'll wear your ballscrew and ballnut more by doing as you're
suggesting..." Would that change your mind?

P.S. Define "hobbyist machine" and "heavy usage". Are you talking
loads, duty cycle or both?
