Many thanks to all who replied.
I eventually got the driver circuit from the Dancad site. The circuit is deeply hidden. I had to download Dancad, load up and run a macro Bipolar2 and create ascii files, convert to dxf files and save, then access for printing with autocad. Dancad is dos based so I found it a bit problematic to run and print directly.
The motor was easily convert to bipolar following the cnconabudget directions [about 15 minutes] and speed is not a problem for the dividing head function.
