Found the problem Was:: Need help with O-scope

All indications were EMI getting into the Z axis encoder lines and
giving false feedback. The problem turned out to be a bad coupling
between the encoder and the servo motor, the hub of coupling was
slightly loose from the centering plate. Thanks to all that helped me
relearn how to use a scope. Ed.
