Jeff,
What drivers are you planning on using?
I expect that a PC would have a 12 volt supply, but it would not have enough
current to power most stepper motors.
For an unregulated power supply you only need a transformer, bridge
rectifier and a capacitor.
I will give you some guidance if you need help.
