Sorry Graham, because you had mentioned Gecko's I assumed they were AC
servos.



If they are AC though and you already have the Omron controllers with an
analogue input then I would think a pixie card would produce the necessary
signals.

Have a look at www.skyco.com <http://www.skyco.com/> , the guy there is also
quite helpful though sometimes it takes him a couple of days to reply to an
email.



My mill has big DC servos that virtually all the DIY cards for Mach have
failed to work with properly. I am going back to commercial analogue servos
and Pixie cards.

How can you run an AC servo on a DC servo drive?

I hadn't seen these but I was beginning to wonder why not, that's a
good idea and may open other options, I've seen some of the older
Omron drives go for peanuts so combining them with a pixie might make
a workable solution.
