Hi Jack and Group,
With regard to your queries on Syil CNC mills, Jack; I am a very happy owner
of a Syil product. I have the X3 with CNC. Both the X2 and X3 machines are
made in their standard format by Sieg in Shanghai and then Syil buy them to
fit CNC.
You need to remember that the X2 mill that Syil base their CNC kit on is not
a very good machine in its own right.
It is a very light duty machine as built. Yes there are repair kits
available to replace the nylon gears with belts and there are nearly kits to
replace the X2 with something else. But why buy something to then need to
replace it all with other things before you can obtain reliable use from it.
The X3 and especially the Super X3 is a much more reliable machine, bigger
yes, but the cost of fitting CNC to it is just the same I would think.
I bought the X3 as a manual machine and then fitted the complete Syil kit to
it. It satisfies my requirements nicely. In closing I have to admit that in
retrospect I should have purchased the Super X3 with its extra features and
then fitted the Syil kit to it.
I do not know what these things cost in your region but suggest that this
combination would be well worth checking out.
With kind regards,
