Hello,
I don't know which of these feature TurboCNC has but here's a few of
Mach3's:
** Tool-offset - both diameter and length.
** Spindlespeed control via step/dir or slow PWM.
** Supports two parallel-ports for more high speed I/O
** It talks MODBUS so you can connect all sorts of external PLC's, I/O
modules etc.
** It now has an internal "PLC like" function called BRAINS
** 6 axis + spindle step/dir up to 100kHz - FAST computer needed though...
** Up to 3 external MPG's via parallel-port
** Up to 4 external Encoders used for DRO feature.
** Internal basic-like scripting language
** Included (limited version) of LazyCAM - Mach3's own CAM software.
** You can write your own M-code macros.
** You can design your own screens. (If you like)
** Supports Lathe threading via spindle encoder
...
...
...
Take it for a spin!
(Usual disclaimer....)

I'm currently using TurboCNC, but was thinking about trying Mach3.
Can anyone compare the features of these two programs? Assuming the
purchase price is not an issure.
Also, does anyone know if Mach3 has a tool "offset" feature, which
TurboCNC does not have.
Thanks
