These are not bipolar drivers, but my Hobby CNC unipolar driver will go up
to 3A/axis, which I find nearly essential for the Nema23's on my Taig CNC
mill. They are adjustable, and I have done some experiments to see what
happens at lower ratings. Around 2.25A or so, the motors start to lose
significant power, and around 1.75 A they simply stall in a cut. I would
try to find 3A or larger if possible.
