How well does your macro work when it is tilted to allow room for the
drill? The working distance looks quite small.

I like the idea of the semi-auto machine, sort of conversational
driller. Do you intend to allow storing the co-ordinates produced?
Could use similar methods for basic PnP.

Wouldn't take me long to get my propeller motion control code doing
that, inspiring stuff thanks for sharing
