John,
The BOSCH 1617evs is a great full sized router! I have one of those as well for manual work with both a fixed and a plunge base. I also bought the K2 mount to suit it with the thought I would put it on my router table, however I have never needed to have the extra power and to be honest I am concerned about the extra weight of the much larger router on the gantry of my cnc router table. I guess it depends on the overall size and rigidity of your particular set-up. The 1617 by BOSCH certainly has loads of power!
good luck
