I've been offered the same package for $250. I've owned v21 and v18. If I remember correctly 18 and 21 were $200 each and an extra $100 for training dvd's. Bobcad has always been a pretty flighty company IMO. At these prices I've always been able to get my money back and then some on ebay.
They claim improvements in every release. I typically buy into them when I set MY bottom dollar price I'm willing to give. With in a month or two after serveral persistant and annoying sales calls we strike a bottom dollar deal ($200-250).
I then try out there new latest and greatest and everytime I'm disapointed. On to ebay it goes for $400-500.
Thanks Bobcad! I can always count on you to make a few bucks every few years! Talk to you next year BC.....

Hi Jack,I have been busy on other things so I am a little late for this threadbut, after trialling V22 I did fall for the salesman's pitch andbought V22 including the training, extended support etc for $1000. Itseemed a bargain considering the advertised price.I use TurboCAD V14 for drawings and have a lot of them to turn intoCNC - too many to start again. The BobCAD DXF import was (is) flawedand really couldn't cope with simple 2D panels. The same DXF fileswere imported ok into Sheetcam, DeskCNC, Autocad viewer and Vector so,from my perspectve, there was a bug in V22. Also, I was told that 4thaxis was available in V22 - it isn't. The BobCAD support was not fast in responding and the last commentfrom them regarding DXF import issues was to "Google" for some toolsto manipulate them. I liked the V22 package and, when used to originate designs, it seemedto work well, but the dxf import failure was a deal breaker for me.I said I was unhappy and wanted a refund. I said that, as there was abug in it and a feature clearly missing, I was entitled. The guy putme though lots of loops to delay the process. He insisted I trytechnical support again and even argued about the semantics of theirown website advertising statements regarding the 4th axis. Eventually I told him that I would contact my CC company direct as,under "EU distance selling rules" I was entitled to a refund. I thinkhe was trying to push me over the 30 days. I was then handed tosomeone else who proceeded to try and restart the returns process allover again. I started to send very bold emails! In the end (5 weeks) I did get Returns number and sent the packageback. A couple of weeks later I did get my refund, less the carriageto UK. I could have got a complete refund using my CC company but, morally, I felt better doing it their way. Even if they fixed the dxf import, their poor customer service wouldput me off risking it again. If you were offered the V22 package for $495 then it seems they aredesperate for sales.RegardsDavid--- In CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO@yahoogroups.com, "Jack Mc Kie"<freshwatermodels@...> wrote:>> I have been looking at CAM software.
