I think I got it now. The Z axis always(?) being parallel with the
spindle/headstock cleared it up. If I want to keep X and Z the same
then the tools need to be pointed parallel to X. Y centers the tool
so it'll hit the "centerline" of the part, plus X depending on where
the next tool is on the table. I would have to create a program for
each tool on the mill table/fixture, then separate each program with a
small bit of manually added g-code that lines the part up with the
appropriate tool. Cool.
