I think you're right about the 1 ppr not being seen when it comes to
cutting threads. What is strange is that both encoder signals can be
viewed in Halscope and both waveforms look good to me. I think this
must be a bug somewhere in EMC2 - perhaps the config wizard, as the
first configuration you gave me got things working in a fashion - in
fact I could use that config if I could stop the Z axis surging
whilst threading. Thanks again, Martin.
