I get 10-15m/min rapids on my little router (250OZ.in motors and my version
of a xylotex drive at 24V).

About 15 years ago I went to a surplus store and located 50 sets of 2 each,
new in their shipping cartons,Thompson accurride linear slides worth back
then $125 ea. I bought them for $20 a set. At the same place they had new
ballscrews with dohble antibacklash nuts. I got all of those for $15 each
and got about 30 of them.
I sold most of them but kept a couple sets for my own use. The router was a
perfect place to use the Thompson slides. I still have a couple sets left by
have plans for them also.

Dan, what is the slide in your router? Is it a plastic block sliding in
the T slot of the extrusion? Can you give a pointer to the source?
thanks
