Your question of what book or source to reference is a difficult one, I think. I can't think of a single good source other than these forums, and maybe cnczone.com.

You got some good suggestions such as asking more specific questions.

Also, the one about the thicker skin was merely a not-quite as-polite-as-possible way of saying that unfortunately, when you join a forum, you need to adapt to it, rather than expecting it to change to suit you. I have been in that situation many times, and I assure you, you may be "right", but you won't win.

Your questions didn't waste anyopne's time, and I hope you will keep asking them.

Did you do a search of the archive? You may find what you are after there.
