Hi,
I just recently ebayed some 3/8 pitch (L) belts that I am cutting and
joining to make up a 10 foot long section. You have to be careful that
each belt is cut at the identical position so that when joined end to
end the pitch will not be lost. Total cost so far is $25 including the
shipping. Much cheaper than sdp/si cost of ~$65 for a continuous length.
I wouldn't do this for any critical application but it is suitable when
accuracy is not as important as cost.
