I personally thought the idea of lasing off a resist was a good one.
Visions of spraying bare board with black acrylic then doing the laser
equivalent of an isolation route before etching.

Likewise Paul- same process and timing but I have only gone down to 10thou-
but completely repeatable (and double-sided is equally easy). However, the
edm idea is very intriguing- I was in the process of modifying my pcb
drilling machine to do isolation milling, but now I am going to have a bit
of a think about the edm idea. At first glance it would seem to have the
advantage of being usable for edm machining of small parts for my model
engineering as well.
