Look in the manufacturer's literature for the particular timing belts you
are using. It will give you a formula to calculate the correct center
distance for optimal belt tension. Then machine your motor plates to use
this center distance, and you will not need any form of tension adjustment.
Installation is a little more difficult, but you will never have anything
sliding or moving.
