No, it won't interfere, not in most scenarios.

In fact, the z-height it considerably more versatile than 6". The z can
MOVE 6" on the screw. There's a way to move the head up by like 3" with
an offline adjustment. Now the Z can't MOVE more than 6" while running,
but if you have a 7" thick piece of wood that you need to cut 2" into,
yes, it can do it!

Yes, of course I did CNC. You get the "CNC-ready" 2019 from Taig, get
the ~282 oz-in NEMA23's from Keling, and order the Geckodrive G540
straight from Geckodrive, an e-stop switch, and a 48v 7A power supply
(Keling is good, eBay has better prices and I think it's the same
supply). And some sort of box is desirable. If you don't want to
solder the wiring then just buy the whole package deal from Keling, but
the price is substantially higher.

And a Smoothstepper might be a great idea if you use Mach3.
