Multistart threads are easy. I've done them with both Mach and EMC. The
technique is, do the first thread passes completely, then start the next
thread 1/2 pitch in distance further back on the Z axis for a two start
thread, or 1/3 pitch back on a 3 start etc.

As long as you have no lost motion or moved the stock in the chuck it
works perfectly.
