Well, until you have to replace it. The Gecko G-540 is pretty
bulletproof. Not to mention more amps and higher voltage. There is
really no comparison.

After my experience with a Xylotex, I'll never buy another one.
When a loose wire can fry it, that's not a very good design for systems
that vibrate, is it?

If I need less than a Gecko, I can get a Pololu bipolar single axis
driver that does 2A for $12.95
Even they can survive a loose wire.
