It would be a HUGE amount of work, as there is no RTAI port at the moment.
Same problem as using the Beagle Board or Beagle Bone.

There may, or may not, be a suitable version of RT-Linux using the
RT-preempt kernel.
And, nobody is quite sure if the RT-Linux option in rtapi still works.

I think the Pi might have too limited memory to run the latest Linux
with all the bells and whistles
(256 MB) but perhaps with some stripping-down, it would work.
