The cheapest solution that I have found that works with both Mach3 and EMC2 is a program available at http://www.cad2gcode.com/id42.html
It is listed for $49.00 and their are other programs as well that can be used for lathe work as well. As long as you save your AutoDesk Inventor files as a AutoCad R12 ASCI .DXF'S.
