Yup, Oriental Motor makes the steppers sold under the Vexta brand, and
they are
5 phase! They are not compatible with other stepper drivers. Vexta
drivers are
available surplus, but they are not very common. The key feature of the
5 phase
design allows much higher speeds before torque falls off.
