List of Gcode "flavors"

Hello All,

I mentioned before the possibility of using the resources of the list
to create a cross-reference of the different "flavors" of G and M
codes.

I think this would be VERY useful. A lot of people are writing G code
controls and we will all benefit if the codes used are standardized
(as much as possible). We also would benefit when using existing
controls/software by knowing what the various post-processors are
assuming.

This project will need input from some who probably won't immediately
benefit (the guys who are using their CAD/CAM and controls without a
hitch don't need this list, but ARE in a position to help others)

The first step is getting the lists of G and M codes in one place.
Then we could decide how best to cross-reference the information.

Any other interest in this?
How best to proceed?
