I was suprised to read the bridgeport series I and II used steppers.
A friend of mine has both machines and he thought they were servos.
He has the orignal bridgport configuration i think.

He also told me his X axis motor on the series II runs hot and goes
out every year or so.

Does anyone know what stepper switching mode is used in these mills.
Like full, half step, or microstep.
