I'd suggest wiping as much as possible off with paper towels first.
Castrol and Oil Eater are two water based products I really like for
cleaning grease and grime. Mix 50:50 and apply with brushes. Let sit for
a little bit, the wipe clean. May take multiple applications in some
areas. When things are cleaned to your satisfaction, be sure to apply
way or other oil to all machine surfaces just to insure you don't get
any rust.
