Good heat treatment, extreme accuracy, good surface finish for reasonable
life. On the better units, they grind the two ball tracks into a single body.
These are often positioned with a slight offset so the balls are preloaded by
the difference. Squareness and eccentricity to the mounting threads are
usually carefully controllled. For good quality stuff, there is a reason why
it costs so much.
