Well, I've just visited that site. Their quick change unit is pretty interesting. Granted its pretty quick...a bit faster than the air operated drawbar but....you have to replace ALL your existing R8 collets with special tooling available only from...yeah you guessed it.
So, just how much would the total outlay be if bought the unit and all the necessary special collets?
And wht would you use if you had a custom cutting tool with a shank diameter that didn't fit any of their standard holders?
It does have its time saving advantages if your using the machine for production work.
Wonder how much it costs.....hmmmm, maybe later...when I get enough projects done here so I can go into production...
