Sorry, I can't answer that one since I've never seen either one of those. This one is an air cylinder (presumably) that monts on top of the motor and the draw bar connects to it directly. I didn't install the one at school...just know how it works and used it ....everyt time I could get my hands on that machine :)
A couple of push buttons were mounted on the side of the machine (easy to get at). One for releasing the drawbar and one for engaging it. As I recall, these push buttons were actually part of the air valve assembly that controlled the air cylinder.
To change tools, the draw braw was disengaged, the cutter replaced and the drawar reengaged. If the collet size need changing, this was done by simply screwing off the old one and screwing the new one back in.
The units MSC sells can be had for mounting R8,#30 & #40 tooling.
