Very true Jon!

I mill aluminum at high speeds at home and have to use kerosene to cool/lube
the work and prevent melted aluminum from sticking to the cutters.

And side forces should definitely be considered. Drill presses aren't
designed for milling, but I've seen "milling" tolls designed and advertised
for use on them.
