Most likely the answer is "No," but is it possbile to configure a cog
belt drive so the two cog wheels are not coplanar but 90 degrees
apart (e.g. one wheel is in the X-Y plane and the other in X-Z? This
is not all that uncommon with vee belts, but maybe timing belts don't
like this kind of abuse. I'm going to check w/ some belt mfrs, but if
someone knows positively yes (what type?) or positively no, I'd
appreciate the tip. I'm thinking this cofiguration might simply X-
axis motor mounting on my vertical mill--although the tensioning
pulley setup would be more complex.
Thanks.
