Wouldn't it be easier top mount the motor parallel to the X axis in
"reverse"? By that I mean instead of havig the back end of the motor stick
out from the end of the machine, extend the mounting bracket and let the
rear end of the motor be pointed toward the other end of the machine. Mount
the motor in the front or to the rear of the machine as space dictates.
