Maybe you want to try this (plan ahead first tho'):
Cast up your concrete bed first and install some hold down bolts (like those
used to bolt sill plates to the foundation in a building). Before the
concrete sets fully, place a steel plate loosely on top (don't add the
nuts).
When the concrete is fully set, remove the plate and machine it for
installing the ways and any other items to be bolted on. Put the plate back
on the concrete slab and bolt it down firmly.
