OK, I'm sure this has been covered before, but I tried to install Linux
redhat 5.2 got the box set and everything. Followed the directions to the T,
everything went OK until It came to the monitor setup portion, first time
screen flashed on and off a few times then went blank. Figured I screwed
something up, reloaded from scratch and the same thing happened I have an NEC
Multisync XE15, it was on the list of supported monitors.
Well, now I can't get it to boot up at all, it boots up to the LILO, which I
don't think is in there yet, have tried to "rescue" but apparently the disc
it had me make, isn't the one it's looking for. After it goes through a bunch
of command lines it say unable to open initial console. Any help would be
appreciated, if there is a web site or another book I should get let me know.
Don't want to try everyone's patients with my computer illiteracy.
Thanx
Tracey
