I am not quite clear on what you are using the microcomputer for, but you
can likely do the same thing with a PIC. They are much less expensive
($2.00 - $8.00 depending upon the IO requirements). If you can tell me the
functions it needs to provide I can take a look to see if we can find one
that is suitable. I am sure there are a number of us on the list that could
handle the programming.
