Doug,

If you were using T slot aluminum for the table top, I would have a good
solution. I sell for Machine Automation and I have seen what they have done
over the years.

When they use T slot table tops, they use double sided tape to attach a
strip of Sentra (PVC plastic) to the top. They then flycut the strips to
make everything flat.

My question to you is how are you going to attach your spoil boards? On my
small machine, I have attached a 1" thick piece of MDF on top of my aluminum
plate. I then used my flycutter to make the table flat. On top of that, I
use a spoilboard.

This is the method used by Multi-Cam and some other manufacturers, but they
use phenolic for the table.
