which is presented nearly universally as FACT. In response to the
assertion that since 'hundreds' say it's so, it must be...

Maybe a better example (I thought of this after posting) would be the
Sun circling the planet(s)... (or vice versa) or a flat earth... or
that all things are made of fire, air, earth, and water...
